This dataset, created in a collaboration between the Global Mobilities Project at the EUI's Migration Policy Centre and the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, contains estimates of human mobility flows between countries worldwide for the years 2011 to 2016. The data is based on a combination of UNWTO international arrivals data and Sabre air travel trend data, adjusted for geographic distance, as described in this working paper and this blog post. Please email [email protected] to request the data.

This network matrix contains, for 187 countries, information on the five countries to which people in these countries are most connected to in terms of border-crossing Facebook Friendships, based on a (now defunct) interactive Facebook Stories graph. This graph - and thus also this data matrix - is an aggregated and slightly simplified version of a dataset that covers all 57 billion Facebook friendships formed in 2011.

This dataset contains a network matrix of incriminations between almost all Guantánamo detainees together with an encompassing attribute dataset, based on 765 JTF-GTMO-authored Detainee Assessment Briefs (DABs) that were published by WikiLeaks in April 2011. Each DAB gives a summary of the current state of knowledge that the JTF-GTMO had about the detainee and an assessment of whether he should remain under Department of Defense (DoD) control (‘‘stay at Guantánamo’’) or be released.
